Title: Conflict Minerals Policy
APEX FASTENER INTERNATIONAL CO., LTD supports the Responsible Minerals Initiative (RMI), a program jointly launched by the Responsible Business Alliance (RBA) and the Global e-Sustainability Initiative (GeSI). We do not support or use minerals sourced from conflict affected, illegal mining or high-risk areas.
Scope of Policy: This policy applies to all APEX suppliers.
Policy Content:
1. Mineral Source Due Diligence and Disclosure:
If product materials include tantalum (Ta), tin (Sn), tungsten (W), gold (Au), cobalt (Co), mica, copper (Cu), natural graphite (C), lithium (Li), and nickel (Ni) conduct due diligence and the sources of these minerals should be fully disclosed.
2. Supplier Compliance:
We request suppliers to complete the Conflict Minerals Reporting Template (CMRT) and provide supporting evidence of the minerals' origin. Suppliers are required to convey this policy to their upstream suppliers and throughout their supply chain, and to ensure all relevant parties comply with this requirement.
3. Commitment to Conflict-Free Minerals
We are committed to achieving a conflict-free supply chain by refusing to use products containing minerals sourced from illegal mining areas in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) or its neighboring countries. These minerals include Tantalum (Ta), Tin (Sn), Tungsten (W), Gold (Au), Cobalt (Co), Mica, Copper (Cu), Natural Graphite (C), Lithium (Li), and Nickel (Ni).
